Cottage Designs was opened in May of 2005 by Debra Galluzzo-Case in the village of Baldwinsville next to Lock 24 of the Erie Canal system. Offering a variety of residential and commercial design services. Growing up in the restaurant industry it was an enormous passion to have an eatery indicative of her heritage and upbringing. Her Italian immigrant Grandfather, Chef Mario Galluzzo owned and operated two very special restaurants in Syracuse. The first was Lorenzo's on South Salina Street, which he purchased in 1959. One of the most successful "supper clubs" in its day, hosted such guests as the late president John F. Kennedy, Sammy Davis Jr., Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, and Liberace. He then opened Mario's Piccolo Bistro on James Street, which was just as successful, serving the finest Italian cuisine the Syracuse area could offer.
